Are you a tinkerer, a hobbyist, a screwdriver – or would you like to shine directly at the customer’s site and prove how you can get any refrigeration unit up and running again? As a trained refrigeration technician, you can live out your passion at AHT, use your skills and shine with your talent.
What you do
in your training
- Installing refrigeration components such as compressors, condensers, defrost heaters and ventilation systems according to technical plans.
- Preparation of construction drawings and installation instructions
- Making pipe connections by welding, soldering, screwing or bonding
- Installation and programming of measuring, control, process control and safety systems
- Carrying out and monitoring leak and quality checks on refrigeration systems
- Laboratory testing and measurement of function and performance of equipment
- Repair of refrigeration systems directly at the customer

“What I particularly liked about my apprenticeship as a refrigeration system technician was that I was able to gain a lot of different experiences and impressions, as I worked in a wide variety of departments. Since I finished my apprenticeship, I have been working in the laboratory, where I also spent the last months of my apprenticeship. Together with my colleagues, I am responsible for measuring and optimising cooling units as well as for the new and further development of cooling units in the laboratory. The most exciting thing for me is to master different tasks every day and still gain new experiences. If employees want to continue their education, for example to become a master craftsman, engineer or graduate engineer, they are generously supported by AHT.”
